(AU)^iesA prospective, trasversal and observative study was made to obtain a Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) curve in healthy children of both sex, of Lima city. We include 425 children with heights between 100 and 177 centimeters, and between 3 and 16 years old. Then the PEFR was assessed using a Mini Wright Peak Flow Meter (considering the best of 5 intents). We evaluated 199 boys and 226 girls. The following equations for the curves were obtained after regression, for PEFR: Boys: PEFR (1t/min)= - 433.893 + 5.501 x (height in cms.), and for girls:PEFR (1t/min)= -369.562 + 4.915 x (height in cms.). There was no significant difference between the association PEFR vs height of boys and girls of study. There was no significant difference between the association PEFR vs height of boys and girls in this study when comparing with the same association obtained in the study of Godfrey et al, England. We recomend the use this values for detection andfollow up of children with asthma at Lima, Peru. (AU)^ien.
